Why is nautiness so cute?

Yesterday Norah had to have a time out because she would not stop eating her crayons and screaming at me "I want eat colors!". I put her in her crib and she threw out her pillow, blanket, and babies. Then she ripped out her hair tie and took off all her clothes. After about 10 minutes she called me in a sweet voice. I went and checked on her and got her re-dressed. She told me "sorry" and said "I want draw picture. I not eat colors". It was so cute and she was a real sweetheart. But as I was putting dishes away I turned around and noticed that she had blue crayon all over her lips and cheeks and was smiling.

Tinkerbell

We were at Kohls the other day trying to find Norah a new swimsuit. She really wanted the Elmo bikini, but it was only in size 4T, so I told her she couldn't get it. I found 2 really cute butterfly suits, but she kept grabbing other ones especially a Tinkerbell one. I finally convinced her to pick a butterfly one because I thought they were really cute. I told her "Tinkerbell is poopy". She said "Ok mommy, inkerbell poopy. I want buffly". Not the best parenting technique, but now she has a cute butterfly swimsuit.

So the other day she wanted her sleeping bag out in the living room like the boys. Mason brought it done for her and spread it on the floor. She looked at it and said "Mommy who dat?". I said "That's Tinkerbell" and she responded "Oh, Inkerbell poopy". I had no idea she would remember or repeat it. I also realized that I bought her a $3 Tinkerbell backpack at Walmart a couple weeks ago. Guess I need to watch what I say!

See you later elephant?

Norah has been copying everything anyone says lately. At bedtime I always tell her "Goodnight. Love you." She started copying this and saying "Goodnight Mommy. Yuv you." When she puts her baby in the stroller and pushes it to the other room she always yells the same thing, so I thought it was time to get her a new saying. I thought I would try the "see you later alligator/after while crocodile" bit, but it's still a little too much. She has caught onto the see you later, but gives it her own twist. She gets her baby ready and says "See you later elephant". And now at bedtime it is always "Goodnight mommy. Yuv you. See you later elephant". I smile and laugh everytime I hear it.

Proud Mom

All the kids were watching a movie the other day. Rhyan questioned something that happened, so Mason explained it to him. Rhyan asked "How did you know that?" and Mason responded "Because I read the book." I don't know if I have ever been more proud of him. I love that my kids love to read!
