Favorite Brother

At Mason's birthday party some said something to Norah about Mason being her brother she replied "Favorite brother". She has been saying this a lot since then and Wesley has overheard it a few times. While I don't want him to be sad that Norah calls Mason her favorite brother, I love the change it has brought about in him. Wesley has been really nice to Norah these passed few weeks. He hugs her all the time, helps her do things, lets her sit on his lap, pushes her in the swing, etc. She hasn't called Mason her favorite in a few days, so the niceness from Wesley must be working.

New Flavor

Mason had a sore throat yesterday and the doctor said it wasn't strep so all that would help was some Chloraseptic Throat Spray. I sprayed some in his mouth and he got the worst look on his face. He asked what flavor it was and I said grape. He said "That's not grape, that's gross. That's what they should call cause it's gross". I can just picture a children's medicine bottle with the flavor "gross" on it. Maybe I should make him draw a new label to send to the pharmacy companies.

Dumb Sh!t My Husband Says

Last night I heard a noise and asked Levi what it was. I told him it sounded like maybe a train, but it could have just been the furnace making noise. He said "Either way you're right, because the furnace is a Trane". He's such a dork sometimes.

Levi told me I should start a House Blog about fixing up our new house. I don't him that people rarely read or comment on this blog. Any interest in following a fixing up the house blog?

Boobies or Boogers

At the grocery store Norah was again yelling boobies and whether people she knew had them. "Boobies! Mommy have boobies. Mason no have boobies. My have boobies." and etc. I told her to quiet done and stop yelling boobies in the store. She then yelled "How bout boogers! My have boogers in nose. Mason have boogers". I don't really know which is better for a 2 year old to yell through the grocery store.

An "Owie" Story

Mason had to write a story at school about getting an "owie". This is what he wrote.

"I fell down niagra falls. There were sharks at the bottom and box jelly fish. Then I fell down the grand canyon. Then a sumrien fell on me. The sumrien bloow up."

Probably a little more than an "owie", but definitely more creative than something like "I fell off my bike".

In a braggy mood

So I'm just really in a braggy mood today. I'm so happy that Mason won the spelling bee, and more importantly, had so much fun being in it. He told me he wasn't too scared in front of all those people and he's glad I made him practice.

Today he got a letter sent home saying he is in the Excel groups for both Math and Reading. The E-groups are the equivalent of TAG at SEP or LEAP at Scioto. I'm so proud of him for doing good in school and for loving to learn.
